Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark has dismissed reports of a £1.75m bid from Norwich City for winger Anthony Pilkington. The Canaries declined to comment on national newspaper reports that they had made a big offer for the 23-year-old forward, who scored 14 times for the Terriers last season.

Norwich City been linked with an audacious move for Greece's European Championship-winning striker Angelos Charisteas. Germany newspaper Bild claimed the 30-year-old Nuremberg frontman has been offered a trial with the Canaries after falling out of favour with his Bundesliga club.
Charisteas was part of his country's World Cup squad in South Africa but only featured in one pool game at the global tournament. The striker shot to fame with Greece's winner against hosts Portugal to lift the 2004 European Championship title.
Charisteas has played for top continental clubs Ajax, Feyenoord and Werder Bremen before moving to Nuremberg in 2007.
