Date of Birth: 15/01/1996 (Greenwich, London)

Dartford's 20 year old midfielder Ebou Adams signed for Norwich on 1st February 2016 on an 18-month deal for an undisclosed fee, to become the seventh new arrival at Carrow Road

Norwich manager Alex Neil said  of the signing "It is more of a longer term one, similar to Ben Godfrey, we are trying to plan for further down the line as well. Neither of them is seen as first team players at the moment." Adams will be part of Dmitri Halajko’s development squad alongside fellow new recruit Godfrey.

This is a dream come true for me, and I’ve worked hard to get here,” said Adams. “I want to thank Jason Long, Deren Ibrahim and Tony Burman, as well as everyone else at Dartford, for their help. They gave me the opportunity, and that gave me the chance to be spotted by Norwich. I’d describe myself as a box-to-box midfielder because I like to get about the pitch. My game is about working hard, and that’s what I need to do now to push on again.

Dartford confirmed it was a club-record deal on their official site, with Norwich scheduled to play a pre-season fixture at the Conference South club’s Princes’ Park ground.

“Ebou is a product of our extremely successful Academy programme, working very closely with Tony Burman, Steve Mosely, Deren Ibrahim and Jason Long. He made his first team league debut at Macclesfield in the Conference Premier last April and has made 15 starting appearances for the Darts this season. Although the full details of the transfer will remain undisclosed, suffice to say, this is the best transfer in the club’s history and Ebou becomes the first player in the club’s history to sign for a Premier League side. One element of the transfer is a pre-season friendly with Norwich where we would hope to see Ebou return wearing the Canaries’ yellow and green. We would like to wish Ebou all the good luck in the world and hope that this is the start of a fantastic career ahead of him.”

Adams was loaned to Braintree on 14th December 2016 for one month. He made three appearances.

He was offered a one year extension in May 2017 following consistent displays in the Under-23s helping them reach two semi-finals in the 2016/17 season

On 26th June 2017 Adams joined League One Shrewsbury on loan until January 2018. He made his debut for them on 8th August 2017 away to Nottingham Forest in the League Cup. He made a total of seven first team appearances for Shrewsbury before returning to Norwich in January 2018 (five of the appearances were as substitute in League One)

On 8th November 2017, Ebou was called up by Gambia from where his parents are from. He made his international debut in a pair of friendlies against Morocco's B side.

On 9th January 2018, Adams joined Leyton Orient on loan until the end of the 2017/18 season. He was a regular for the Orient who expressed interest in signing him permanently, an option that became easier when Norwich opted on 4th May not to renew his contract. However Adams chose instead to join Conference rivals Ebbsfleet United on 1st June 2018.

On 20th June 2019, Adams returned to the Football League signing a two year deal with Forest Green Rovers after impressing for Ebbsfleet in 37 appearances during 2018/19. He had also won his sixth cap for Gambia.

In January 2022 he played for Gambia in the African Cup of Nations finals held in Cameroon. They reached the Quarter Finals.

Forest Green secured promotion to League One on 23rd April 2022 and clinched the title with a 2-2 draw on the final day of the season. He made 40 appearances scoring three goals.

On 13th May 2022 he signed for Cardiff City on a three year deal with his Rovers' contract due to expire on 1st July. Cardiff boss Steve Morison said: "Ebou's going to bring athleticism and energy. He's really good on the ball. He's been a top, top player for Forest Green for a number of years. I said I was going to change the dynamic of the group. I wanted to change what you see from the players characteristic wise and he fits the bill. It is the right time for him to step up to the Championship. It's a big step for him, but he's buzzing, we're buzzing and we're looking forward to seeing him out there." Ebou had made 120 appearances for Forest Green, scoring 10 goals.

He had been at the African Cup of Nations with Gambia in January 2024

On 31st January 2024 he joined Derby County on loan until the end of the season. He had only played 13 games for Cardiff.
