Adebambo Akinjgbin trialled for Norwich playing for the Under-18s in a friendly on 23rd July 2016. He was not taken on by City. He had been a schoolboy player with Wembley who had been taken on by Brentford.

After playing for Abbey Rangers, he joined Chelsea in August 2017. He was released in January 2018 and joined Wingate in April 2018. He moved to the USA in the summer of 2018 playing for the Wofford Terriers, the football team of Wofford College in South Carolina before moving to Duquesne University in Pittsburgh in the summer of 2020 and playing for the Duquesne Dukes.
