French youngster Jeremy Balmy played for Norwich City on trial
against Wroxham and Lowestoft in the summer of 2012. Formerly
with Le Havre, when his contract expired, he was sought by Arsenal,
Spurs, Man City, Man United, Liverpool, AC Milan and Valencia.
He trialled with Brighton in the summer of 2012 and was about
to sign, when Norwich invited him for a trial
He later trialled with Birmingham City against Telford on 7th
August 2012
In mid-August 2013, he signed for Notts County following a successful
trial. He made three appearances for County before being released
early on in the 2014/15 season.
On 9th February 2015, he signed for Oxford United until the end
of the 2014/15 season. "The next two years are very important
for me. I need to play as many games as I can," he told
BBC Radio Oxford."It's a nice move. I came one week ago
and was made very welcome. I'm feeling good about coming to Oxford."
He was loaned to Oxford City for a month on 26th March 2015.
Balmy signed for Swindon on 4th September 2015 on a one year
deal.
In April 2016, Balmy and teammates Drissa Traore and Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill were suspended by Swindon after the trio were seenallegedly inhaling nitrous oxide - better known as laughing gas - and smoking a shisha pipe in a video published on social media.A club statement read: "The club have already started an internal investigation into the trio's recent conduct and they will not be considered for selection during this process.Swindon Town will be making no further comment until the investigation is complete."
In May 2016, Swindon announced that they would not be renewing Balmy's contract.
