Former Fulham and Woking
goalkeeper Lawrence Batty assisted Norwich with goalkeeping coaching
in mid-February 2010 following the departure of Paul
Crichton. Batty assisted with the 2-1 win at Brighton on 13th
February 2010. He remained at the club through to the 2010 pre-season
and then was appointed into the role
Lawrence knew Norwich
manager Paul Lambert from their time
together at Wycombe where Batty had been goalkeeping coach.
Lawrence's playing
career included Woking, Fulham, Farense, Brentford, Chesham, St
Albans, Maidenhead and Molesey.
He spent time as manager
of Walton & Hersham before hanging up his gloves. He joined
Chelsea as goalkeeping coach before moving to Wycombe in 2007.
He left Wanderers in November 2008
Batty left Norwich in February 2011, and was replaced by Jeff
Wood.
In November 2015, he teamed again with Lambert at Blackburn Rovers, becoming their goalkeeping coach.
