17 year old Australian midfielder Darren Beardow came to Norwich on a month's scholarship, funded by the New South Wales Soccer Foundation, in December 1990. Accompanied by Michael Muzicano, the two Aussies trained with the Norwich youth side.

Beardow is still playing football as of December 2005 and is currently with the Lismore Thistle of the Tursa Premier League, which I believe takes place in Northern Australia.
