The
following information was posted by Dag
T. Hoelseth on the UnOfficial Norwich City Message Board on
November 08, 1999.
Trym Bergman played for Orn/Horten before Kongsvinger, for whom
he signed in 1992. A utility player who can be used at midfield
or wing, but also as back. Good working capacity, good at getting
into scoring positions, and scores a lot of goals, but a Kongsvinger
fan I have discussed him with earlier today feels he is a bit scared
of getting into tackles...and that won't make him popular in England.
He is just above average, he says, and is sceptical that he is good
enough for English football.
Norwegian midfielder Bergman's appearance on the messageboard came
after he played for Norwich City reserves in their 1-1 draw with
Ipswich Reserves on 8th November 1999. However he did not impress
the Norwich City management and returned to Norway. Trym had played
145 league and 22 games for Kongsvinger in a seven year spell scoring
31 league goals and 7 in the cup.
Dag has since informed me that Trym has had trials with Sheffield
United and Port Vale. Neither of these were successful and Trym
joined Swedish Premier Division side Hammarby
