Whilst Bournemouth's fourth choice goalkeeper, Dimitri Brinias
had a week long trial at Carrow Road in early November 2001 but
the Canaries decided not to further their interest. Dimitri played
for Greece as a youth but had been called up for Australia's Under
17 side. Dimitri has also interested Rushden & Diamonds and
has had a trial with Portsmouth.
In June 2002, Dmitri transferred to Greek giants Panathinaikos
after he had impressed on trial. He spent the 2002/03 season with
their feeder club Marko. He returned to Australia and played for
Wollongong Wolves in the New South Wales Premier League. He also
had time with Italian side Chievo Verona and Welsh side Connah's
Quay Nomads, whom he joined in September 2006.
In January 2007, he played for Bangor City in the Welsh Premier
League before joining Irish side Galway United.
By March 2012, he was back in Australia playing for Cumberland
United.
