Southampton youth team
goalkeeper Will Britt joined Norwich;s youth team as cover / loan
/ work experience in January 2013. He has previously played for
Portsmouth (up to the age of under-14s) and had two years at Brighton
before he was released, with them thinking he wasn't good enough
for the Under-18s. He then joined the Saints. He made his Norwich
debut for the Under-18s keeping a clean sheet against Arsenal
on 12th January 2012.
Britt played in both FA Youth
Cup semi-final matches against Notts Forest which the Canaries
won to progess to the FA Youth Cup final. He also played in the
first leg of the final at Carrow Road which Norwich won 1-0 against
Chelsea. He then kept goal in the second leg of the FA
Youth Cup which the Canaries won 3-2 to secure them the trophy
for the first time in thirty years.
Will signed a two year professional contract with Southampton
at the beginning of July 2013
In January 2014, Will joined Ryman League side Bognor Regis Town
on loan. He made his debut in the 2-1 win over Cray Wanderers
on 21st January 2014.
On 12th February 2014, Britt was called up by Gibraltar for their
international against the Faroe Islands and Estonia in March 2014,
along with Wrexham's David Artell, Forest Green Rovers striker
Reece Styche (currently on loan at Wycombe Wanderers), Danny Higginbotham
(who retired from club football last month after a spell with
Chester), Scott Wiseman (Preston) and Adam Priestley (Farsley).
He was loaned to Maidenhead during October/November 2014.
Britt was released by Southampton at the end of the 2015/16 season.
On 5th August 2016, Britt signed for non-league Salisbury City
