On 10th November 2017, Norwich City announced that Chris Burton would be joining them as Head Physiotherapist on 22nd November. He joins from Scunthorpe United where he guided the Medical and Sports Science department to the League One Medical and Science Team of the Year at last season's Football Medical Association Awards.
Chris has previously held posts at Nottingham Forest, Barnsley, Hull City, Queens Park Rangers and Peterborough United. He also has degrees in Sports Science and Physiotherapy.
Chris used to be on the books at Mansfield Town before going on to play for Gainsborough Trinity, Brigg Town and Retford United.
In January 2022 he was appointed to the role of Head of Medical Services. Burton will be responsible for leading the first team medical department and overseeing medical provision for the academy.
