Former Oldham Athletic
player Aaron Chalmers trialled for Norwich's Under-19s in their
2-1 win at Arsenal on 13th December 2008.
Chalmers is a midfielder who signed a professional contract with
Oldham in May 2007. He had been at Bolton as a youngster. His
senior debut for Oldham came on 12th April 2008 in a 20
win versus Leyton Orient coming on as a substitute in the 74th
minute for Matthew Wolfenden. His contract was cancelled by Oldham
on 2nd December 2008 following a breach of discipline
On 25 March 2009, he joined Macclesfield Town on non-contract
terms following a trial with the club before signing for Hibernian
at the start of 2009/10. He returned to England on 15th June 2010
to sign for Mossley. He spent the end of that season on loan at
Droylsden before being transfer listed in August 2011.
He was transferred for an undisclosed fee to Woodley Sports a
few days later. On 1st July 2012, he signed for Southport. In
September 2012 he went on loan to Droylsden
