Arsenal left back Ilias Chatzitheodoridis trialled with Norwich's Under-18s against Manchester United on 22nd April 2016. Arsenal had announced that Ilias was leaving the club at the end of the season. He had been recruited from Arsenal’s Elite Academy in Greece in 2014 and featured prominently for the Gunners’ U18 team during 2014/15. He endured some difficult moments as he was frequently caught out of position, but he did enjoy some positive moments as he scored a goal for the U18s, whilst also featuring fleetingly in the UEFA Youth League and the U21s..

He joined Brentford's development squad on 1st September 2016

He made his debut for the Bees in the Football League Cup in August 2017 and made three further appearances during 2017/18 before joining Cheltenham on loan on 19th January 2018 until the end of the season. He made 18 appearances for Cheltenham

He joined Greek side Panathinaikos on 23rd July 2018.
