Anglo-Italian left-back Alfie Cicale joined Finnish side VPS on 21st March 2024. He had been a youth team player at Norwich before turning down a professional deal to study at Oxford University in 2020. He earned his degree (first class honours) before resuming his playing career. A trial with Maidstone enabled him to get fit before moving to Finland. After a trial, he signed a two year contract with VPS with whom he will play in the UEFA Conference League in 2024/25.
