George Couzens played
in a very young Norwich Under-18 side that lost 7-0 at home to
Middlesbrough on 13th April 2013. The main bulk of the Under-18
team were rested ahead of the FA
Youth Cup semi-final with Notts Forest on 16th April 2013.
He was part of Norwich's Under-16 squad for the 2013/14 season
and had previously been at Lincoln City. He had trialled with
Manchester United (playing against Manchester City) and Tottenham
(playing against Arsenal) before joining the Canaries.
He signed on as an Academy
Scholar with Norwich on 8th July 2014 and will be part of
the Under-18s side in 2014/15.
On 3rd May 2016, Norwich announrced that they would not be offering George a professional contract and that he would leave the club in June.
He returned to his hometown of Bourne and played for Bourne Town in the United Counties Football League
He moved to Grantham Town on 18th July 2017. The following month he joined Sleaford Town.
He swapped Lincolnshire for Norway on 1st April 2019 joining Lillehammer in the Norwegian fourth division.
