Forward Ben Cowling has had trials at Norwich City and Cambridge United. He has played for Steeple Bumpstead, Haverhill Rovers, Long Melford (whom he joined in the summer of 2003), Haverhill Rovers and Helions Bumpstead. In early November 2006, it was reported that Cowling was likely to return to Haverhill for a third stint - having been released by Richard Carter earlier in the 2006/7 season.

He played over 300 times for Haverhill and was named first team manager on 18th May 2016.
