Argentinean midfielder Walter del Rio failed to impress Bruce
Rioch in his trial spell at Carrow Road in the summer of 1999.
The former Boca Juniors star was previously with Crystal Palace
for whom he made 2 league appearances (one as substitute).
On 29th July 2000, it was reported that new Dundee manager Ivano
Bonetti had invited Walter for a trial with them. Walter had been
at Dundee earlier under Jacky Scott's regime. He signed for them
and made 9 appearances in 2000/01. He was freed by Dundee at the
end of May 2002.
Walter spent time in Italy with Carrarese and Cosenza before joining
FC Wohlen. He is now with YF Juventus Zurich.
