Ipswich youngster Matt Dixon played on trial for Norwich in their Under 21 friendly with Bristol City on 21st April 1999

Matt joined AFC Sudbury in June 1999 on contract. In his first season he made 8 appearances scoring 9 times. In 2000/01 he scored 9 goals in 25 appearances, most of which were as substitute. He has also won awards with Sudbury's Reserves

He moved to Walsham-le-Willows in September 2007, Needham Market in November 2008, Thetford Town in July 2010 and Norwich United in July 2012. He joined Diss in November 2012, returned to Thetford in July 2013 before moving back to Diss in January 2014. He signed for Stowmarket in July 2015, Halstead Town in July 2016 and Debenham in August 2016.
