Matt Dye was recruited from Peterborough, where he was Head of Coaching, in the summer of 2022 to look after Norwich City's 9-18 programme, tasked with improving the games programme and ensuring the youngest players have the most enjoyable yet challenging experience available.
In the matchday programme for the game against Bristol City on 9th November 2024, it was reported that Dye had left Norwich City.
On 28th November 2024 it was reported that Dye had joined Wycombe Wanderers as Head of Football Development and will help “develop and implement” the club’s game model and coaching methodology. Wycombe Academy Director Jeremy Sauer said: “Matt is a very highly-regarded developer, who joins us with a fantastic track record working within two excellent Academies, and is another brilliant addition to the Academy’s leadership team . Bringing in highly-qualified people like Matt underlines the club’s commitment to delivering an elite environment for young players, and we’re excited to have him on board.”
