Midfielder John Edridge made 12 appearances for the Canaries' Youth side in season 1991/92. He spent over 15 seasons at Wroxham, including serving as Assistant Manager. He became Assistant Manager alongside Damian Hilton at Norwich United and then took over in February 2016 when Hilton returned to Wroxham.

After leading the Planters to the Eastern Counties League title in 2015/16 and thus promotion to the Ryman League, he stepped back to being assistant manager due to work commitments. Steve Eastaugh replaced him as manager.
