Newport County's 16 year old defender Jay Foulston trialled for Norwich's Under-18s in their 4-0 defeat to Chelsea on 26th August 2017.

Foulston was a product of the Newport County academy and was promoted to the first team squad in July 2017 following appearances in Newport's pre-season friendly matches. Foulston made his senior debut for Newport County aged 16 in the Football League Cup first round match versus Southend Unitedon 8th August 2017 as a late second-half substitute. 

He was loaned to Merthyr Town in January 2019 until the end of the 2018/19 season. He was then loaned to Chippenham Town for the 2019/20 campaign.

Foulston was released by Newport at the end of the 2019/20 season.

He signed for Taunton Town on 24th AUgust 2020
