Adel Gafiati trialled with Norwich in the summer of 2012. A 17
year old defender, who can play on the left, right or in the centre,
he was formerly with French side Nancy before joining Glasgow
Rangers at the age of 16. He played for a Norwich City XI against
Wroxham (0-0) and Lowestoft (2-2).
This was turned into a permanent deal with the Canaries' Development
Squad.
He was called up to
the Algerian Under-20s in September 2012.
In April 2013, it was claimed that Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest,
Reading, Borussia Monchengladbach, Fortuna Dusseldorf, Real Socieded,
Malaga, Atalanta and Udinese were all watching the youngster
He made 24 appearances for the Under-21s during 2012/13.
Adel was on the bench for Norwich's FA Cup third round clash
with Fulham on 4th January 2013.
He was loaned to League One side Oldham on 14th March 2014, along
with Preston's Joel Byrom. Gafiati made just one appearance for
Oldham.
On 13th May 2014, Gafiati signed a new two year professional
contract with Norwich
On 10th June 2016, Norwich announced that they would not be renewing Adel's contract. This led to some outbursts by the player on twitter against the way the club was wrong. He returned to his homeland to sign for MC Oran
He returned to France to play for Noisy-le-Sac and Rodeo. in regional football before joining Ukrainian Premier League side Zirka Kropyvnytskyi in March 2018, making his debut playing all of a 0-0 home draw with Oleksandria.
On 24th November 2018, Gafaiti signed for Yeovil on a short-term contract
Adel and Yeovil were relegated to the National League on 27th April 2019 following a 2-2 draw with Northampton. Gafiati missed the game having been sent off, for the second time this season, in the 2-0 defeat to Crewe on 19th April. He had made 22 appearances for Yeovil. He was one of nine players released by Yeovil at the end of the 2018/19 season. He had played 22 games for Yeovil, scoring once.
On 6th August 2019, he signed for Truro City.
On 30th Augsut 2020 he moved to National League side Wealdstone.
He moved to Croatian side Tomislav Drnje on 8th February 2021. Later that year he signed for Croatian side NK Sesvete,
He returned to Cornwall on 27th September 2022 signing for Mousehole.
