Ivan Gammelseter
came to Norwich on trial in 1990 where he played in two games for
the Youth side. These were a 7-3 defeat against the Reserves and
a 5-2 victory over Sutton United in which Ivan scored a hat-trick.
Despite this impressive performance, he was not taken on by the
Canaries.
At the time of his trial, he was playing for Brandbu IL. He transferred
to Gran IL in 1991 but back injuries forced his retirement in 1993.
He later attempted a comeback with Moen SK in 1997. He is currently
living and working as a salesman in Jevnaker in the county of Oppland.
Thanks go to Dag T Hoelseth of the Norwich City Supporters' Club
of Scandinavia for this information.
