Garth Good was appointed as first team coach of Grays Athletic
in August 2014 having worked with Grays manager Jody
Brown at Norwich's academy. Good was previously reserve team
manager at Dereham.
"Garth is someone I worked with in my time at Norwich
City," said Brown, "he will take up the role
of 1st team coach. He can take some of the coaching off my shoulders,
although I'll still do a great deal of it. .Good has settled in
well and his attention to detail and technical coaching have been
well received by the players who have responded well on the training
ground. He's a good guy with his own ideas on the game, which
is far better than having a 'yes man' just agreeing all the time."
Garth later managed Norwich United but were sacked in early December 2018 after a 5-1 home defeat to Brantham Athletic.
Garth joined the Diss Town coaching team at the end of 2022 but was appointed manager on 5th June 2023. He will combine this with being lead academy coach with the Football Future Elite who Diss are partnering with at Under-18 level. "I'm thrilled to be joining Diss Town FC and can't wait to get started,” he told the club’s website.“The club has a strong tradition of success and I plan to build on that foundation by instilling a winning mentality in the team and creating an environment that fosters player development. " He will be supported by Dan Goffin and Ollie Woods
