Norwich City signed 19 year old right winger Kaide Gordon from Liverpool on a season-long loan on 30th August 2024.
He spent most of his youth career at Derby County until he was snapped up by Liverpool for £1million in February 2021 after breaking into the Rams' first team. He made his Liverpool debut in 2021 at Carrow Road against the Canaries in the EFL Cup and had played seven games for the Liverpool first-team including scoring against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup.
He has represented England at Under-15, Under-16, Under-18, and Under-20 level.
On joining City, Gordon said: "I'm really excited to be here, it was a quick turnaround but as soon as I heard Norwich were interested in me I definitely wanted to come here, so I'm really excited to get going. This is a great club, my first Liverpool game was at Carrow Road and the fans and atmosphere were great, which was a good experience for me."
Sporting director Ben Knapper said: "Kaide is an exciting young player who we're looking forward to working with this season. We're thankful to everyone at Liverpool for trusting us with this next stage in his development, in what will be his first senior loan experience. He will add competition in wide areas, and we are hopeful this will be a mutually beneficial step for all parties."
Gordon made his Norwich debut coming on as a late substitute in the 4-1 home win over Watford on 21st September 2024 (with the score at 3-1). Gordon scored his first goal for Norwich on 5th October 2024 in the 4-0 trouncing of Hull City.
He was recalled by Liverpool on 13th January 2025 having made 10 appearances for Norwich, but nine of these were as substitute with Gordon playing a total of 177 minutes for Norwich.
He was loaned out again by Liverpool on 3rd February 2025 joining Portsmouth until the end of the season. "We're delighted to welcome Kaide to the club and would like to thank Liverpool for loaning him to us," said Portsmouth boss John Mousinho. "He arrives having already gained experience of this level from his time with Norwich and really boosts our attacking options. Kaide is a talented young player with bags of potential and I'm excited to see what he can do in a Pompey shirt during the rest of this season."
