Goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw was signed by Norwich from Plymouth on 6th June 2025 for £600,000 following Argyle's relegation to League One. He signed a three year deal and is expected to be second choice keeper.
Grimshaw joined Manchester City as a teenager and was involved in a match day squad for the first time in January 2019 in an EFL Cup game against Burton Albion. He had loans at Hemel Hempstead Town and at Belgian side Lommel, joining the latter in October 2020 and making 10 appearances. Lommel were coached by future Norwich manager Liam Manning.
On 1st July 2021 he transferred to Blackpool without having played a senior game for Manchester City. He made 49 appearances before transferring to Plymouth on 23rd August 2024. He played 22 times for Argyle.
Joining Norwich, Grimshaw said: "I'm really excited. I've known of the interest for a little while and as soon as I heard about it, it was a place I really wanted to come - a big club with big ambitions, so it matched what I wanted to do. I've heard good things about the fans - the atmosphere on both occasions that I've played here was amazing. I think it's going to be a really big year for us. We want to push for promotion and push for the play-offs. I'm here to give everything I have and hopefully we'll achieve that together."
