An attacking midfielder
from Camridgeshire with an eye for goal, Reece joined Norwich
from Cambridge United at the age of 10 when Cambridge dropped
out of the league. He played for Norwich City Under-14s in Overjise
Tournament (August 2008) and for Under-15s in victorious Eendracht
Aalst Tournament in May 2010. He made his first appearance for
the Under-18s in the 4-2 win at Spurs on 4th September 2010
On 31st March 2011, it was announced that he and eight others
would join Norwich's Academy in the summer of 2011. Academy manager
Ricky Martin said: I would like
to wish all nine boys the best of luck and hope they enjoy long
and successful careers at Norwich City.
Reece played in both FA Youth
Cup semi-final matches against Notts Forest which the Canaries
won to progess to the FA Youth Cup final. He scored the only goal
of the first leg.
He was part of the Norwich City Under-21 Development
Squad but was on the bench for Norwich's FA Cup Third Round clash
with Fulham on 4th January 2014. He made his debut for Norwich
in the Capital One Cup win over Crawley on 26th August 2014, coming
on as substitute.
In April 2016, he trialled with Cambridge.
He was released by Norwich on 11th June 2016.
After trialling again with Cambridge and with Ebbsfleet, he signed for Conference side Maidstone United on 12th August, making his debut the following day in a 3-1 win at Chester City. He joined Bishops Stortford at the end of September but left after just one game.
He then signed for Conference side Braintree on 7th October 2016. He played in a 2-0 defeat to Aldershot on 30th April 2017 that secured Braintree's relegation to the Conference South.
Released by Braintree, he joined Grimsby on a one year on 16th October 2017. He spent time between October 2017 and January 2018 on loan to Chester. He remained in Lincolnshire until June 2019 when he signed for Northampton Town, He had played 43 games for Grimsby.
On 2nd July 2020 Northampton announced that Hall-Johnson was one of 13 players released by the club following their promotion to League One. He had played seven games for the Cobblers.
On 24th August 2020 Reece signed a one year contract with National League side Wrexham. He said "I can't wait to get started. It's been a long break for a lot of clubs, and I can't wait to get on the pitch and play some football. The team obviously wants to be in the top half of the table and wants to be promoted and that's what I want to achieve. I'm raring to go."
He was released by Wrexham at the end of the 2022/23 season when they won promotion to the Football League. He had played 70 games for Wrexham.
On 4th July 2023 he joined Barnet, and played in their pre-season friendly against Norwich the same day.
