Southampton goalkeeper Jake Hallett was in goal for Norwich City's Under-18s when they played Manchester United on 22nd April 2016, losing 3-2.
Birmingham-born but raised in Southampton, Jake is a passionate Saints fan who was recruited to the academy ranks in 2008 after being scouted while playing for his local Sunday-league side.
Jake was one of five players to sign two year professional deals with the Canaries on 1st July 2016.
On 4th October 2016, Hallett was loaned to Norwich United to cover Andy Wilton's suspension. He made his debut in the Ryman League North fixture against Hornchurch which United lost 1-0.
On 9th January 2018, Hallett was loaned to Isthmian League side Mildenhall for a month. Mildenhall are managed by former Cambridge United and Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Dean Greygoose, who was a keeper coach for Norwich.
Hallett was released by Norwich on 4th May 2018. He joined Maidstone on trial at the end of July 2018. He then signed for Salisbury City on 15th August 2018 following injury to Marcus Beauchamp. He moved to Southern League side Moneyfields for the 2019/20 season. On 1st July 2022 he moved to AFC Porchester of the Wessex League Premier Division.
