A defender from Orsett. Gregg was released by Norwich at the end of the 1997/98 season after a year as an associate schoolboy. He then joined Colchester United as a YTS but was released in 2000. Gregg joined Ryman Leaguers Purfleet in the autumn of 2000 but joined Aveley on loan in January 2001 to gain match experience. After a spell with Grays Athletic, Gregg joined Ford United at the end of October 2001. In the autumn of 2003, he moved on to Basildon United. He later moved to Great Wakering Rovers before joining Wivenhoe in February 2004. After a short spell with Brightlingsea Regent, he joined FC Claction in March 2007. He left Clacton in May 2010
