A youth team product from Thetford (but born in Bury St Edmunds),
Tommy spent 1998/99 at Carrow Road as a first year professional.
He failed to break into the first team and was released at the
end of the season. He has since sought trials with both Cambridge
and Colchester.
Tommy joined Dr Martens League side Wisbech in the summer of 1999.
Tommy was placed on the transfer list at the beginning of January
2000 as Wisbech could no longer afford his wages. The Wisbech
Citizen reported on 2nd February 2000 that Tommy's contract
had been canceled by mutual consent. Tommy has since joined fellow
DR Martens side Spalding. (thanks to Richard Bland for this update).
Tommy joined Eastern Counties League side Diss Town in October
2000 but was involved in a fatal car crash at Drayton on the outskirts
of Norwich in the early hours of Sunday 17th December 2000. The
club held a minute's silence at their game with Barnsley on 23rd
December.
Tommy's younger brother Ian is
currently with Norwich's Academy.
