Defender Mark Howard joined his local league club Norwich from King's Lynn but was unable to break into the first team. He moved to Stockport County but was released at the end of the 1989/90 season. After spells with King's Lynn and Wisbech, Mark played for Fakenham Town in the Jewson Eastern Counties League Division One.

Mark left Fakenham in the summer of 1999 as he was living in Manchester and joined Northern League side Hyde United. Mark moved back to Norfolk in the early part of 2000 and rejoined Fakenham but returned to the North West in 2001 where he has signed for Curzon Ashton.
