Irish winger Niall Inman followed Kit Carson
from Norwich to Peterborough at the age of 12/13 after joining
the Canaries the previous year. Already capped at Irish Under
21 level, Niall prefers to play on the right wing but can also
command a place in central midfield or at right back. He spent
some of the 1997/98 season on loan to Stevenage and played in
their memorable FA Cup clash with Newcastle.
After making 12 appearances for The Posh, he was released at
the end of the 99/00 season. Niall joined Conference side Kettering
although Ryman Leaguers Bedford were also keen. After a trial
with US side Charleston Battery in the summer of 2001, Niall signed
for Conference side Dover at the beginning of August 2001 but
returned to Kettering in October 2001.
In July 2003, Niall embarked on a trial with Dr Martens League
side Grantham Town. He signed permanently for the Gingerbreads
a couple of weeks later on July 24th 2003. On transfer deadline
day at the end of March 2004, Niall moved to Mildenhall of the
Ridgeons League
After retiring from injury in November 2007, Niall re-signed
for Mildenhall in June 2008
