Jarman played for Bristol Rovers and Newport from 1959 to 1974.
He now scouts for Norwich in the West County according to Ask Greaves.
Futher research shows that Jarman made 452 league appearances for Bristol Rovers between 1969 and 1973, having previously played amateur football for Clifton Villa, Chippenham United, Bristol St George and Victoria Athletic. He scored 127 league goals for Rovers. On leaving Rovers, he spent the 1973-74 season with Newport County making 40 appearances and scoring eight goals.
He joined the New York Cosmos in 1974, playing 18 games and scoring four before returning to England to play for Mangotsfield United and Portway Bristol; the latter for which he was player-manager. After coaching the Rovers youth team alongside Gordon Bennett, he was appointed as manager of Bristol Rovers between December 1979 and the end of the 1979/80 campaign before becoming assistant manager until he was sacked in September 1980.
He then coached and scouted for Norwich (appointed by Bennett), Blackburn and Manchester City as well as managing Bath City and Mangotsfield.
Jarman was also a good cricketer representing Gloucestershire.
