German coach Christopher John joined Norwich as first team coach on 13th November 2018 from SC Paderborn. John replaces Christian Fluthmann. He had been Assistant Manager at Paderborn since 1st July 2016.
As a player, John began his career at RW Erlinghausen in 2009 before playing for SC Wiedenbruck, Erlinghausen for a second time and SV Lippstadt 08. He played under Daniel Farke at Lippstadt.
John and the rest of Farke's management team were sacked on 6th November 2021 following City's poor start to the 2021/22 Premier League campaign
On 13th January 2022 he followed Farke to Russian side FC Krasnodar. They left the club on 2nd March having not managed a single game with the start of the new Russian season postponed due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In June 2022 he followed Farke to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.
On 2nd June 2023 John followed Farke out of Gladbach after a disappointing 10th place finish. He then followed Farke to Leeds United on 4th July 2023.
