After weeks of speculation, 21 year old Czech winger Matej Jurasek signed for Norwich on 16th January 2025. He joined from Slavia Prague on a five year deal for an undisclosed fee. A work permit issue meant that he would not be able to play for Norwich until February 2025.
He had scored 17 goals in 91 appearances for Slavia whom he had joined in 2018 from Karvina. He made his debut on 21st November 2020 against SFC Opava. He then had loans at Vlasim (twice) and Karvina.
At the time of his move to Norwich, he had played once for the Czech national team, against Armenia on 26th March 2024. He was part of their squad for the Euro 2024 finals.
Jurasek made his debut on 11th February 2025 as a 71st minute substitute in the 1-0 home defeat to Preston.
