Whilst surfing the net looking for former Canaries, I came upon
a news article on the Dorchester
website. It stated that in February 2002, Dorchester boss
Morris was watching former England Under 18 left-back Stuart Langrish
who played for their reserves. The site stated that Langrish was
a former Norwich City youth who had been capped by Great Britain's
Universities and he had then headed out to the USA to play for
the University of Louisville.
Investigating further, I could find no trace of Stuart's Norwich
connection but he had spent time with Bournemouth and had indeed
played for England's schoolboys. I will continue to investigate
further.
After a four year playing career for the University of Louisville's
men's soccer team, Stuart was appointed as its assistant coach.
During his playing career, he earned second team All-Conference
USA honors in his senior season and third team honors during his
sophomore and junior seasons. He set the record for most assists
in a season with 11 during his senior year. He also set the record
for most career assists with 22. Stuart will also work with the
university's youth soccer clinics.
