Olly Lee joined Norwich as Under-21 coach from Ipswich Town in November 2024.
The son of former Newcastle and England midfielder Rob Lee, Olly began his career as a youth team player at West Ham, signing professionally in 2009. He didn't play for the Hammers first team but made his league debut in the first of two loan spells at Dagenham and Redbridge in March 2011 where he made five appearances. He returned to Dagenham on another loan in August 2011 making 17 appearances and scoring once. He was also loaned to Gillingham in February 2012, playing eight games.
Released at the end of his contract in the summer of 2012, he joined Barnet on 3rd July 2012 but struggled to make the first team after Mark Robson left the club. He joined Birmingham on trial in February 2013 and signed on loan before moving permanently in May 2013. He played 20 games before joining Plymouth on loan in January 2015 after not playing for the Birmingham first-team in 2014/15. He played 15 games for Argyle.
Released by Birmingham at the end of the 2014/15 season, he joined Luton on 21st August 2015 on a short-term contract that was eventually extended to June 2017. He helped them win promotion to League One in 2017/18 and scored the EFL Goal of the Season against Cambridge in November 2017. He played a total of 123 games for Luton, scoring 11 goals.
In May 2018 he joined Heart of Midlothian on a three year contract and would play 58 games scoring nine goals. He was loaned to Gillingham in August 2019 and again in January 2021. In June 2021 he signed permanently for Gillingham but retired from professional football in February 2023 due to psoriatic arthritis and Raynaud Syndrome.
He then joined Tottenham as an academy coach in September 2021 before becoming Under-18s coach at Ipswich Town in January 2024.
