Elliot List played for Norwich City's Under-18s against West Brom on March 7th 2015. At the time he was a free agent having been released by Crystal Palace's Academy in February 2015. He joined Gillingham on 1st July 2015, signing a one year professional contract. He can play as a winger or in central midfield.

He was loaned to National League side Braintree in October 2015 and played twice.

He moved to Stevenage on 31st August 2019 for an undisclosed fee. He had made 102 appearances for Gillingham, scoring ten goals.
