Norwich City signed goalkeeper George Long from Millwall on 17th August 2023 after the Canaries' second choice keeper Tim Krul joined Luton Town.
Long began his career at Sheffield United, and played a total of 123 appearances between 2011 and 2018. Whilst with the Blades, he had loans at Oxford United (July-November 2014, 11 appearances), Motherwell (February-July 2015, 17 appearances) and AFC WImbledon (July 2017 to June 2018, 49 appearances).
He transferred to Hull on 18th July 2018. He made 65 appearances before moving to Millwall on 25th May 2021. He had played 41 games prior to his move to Norwich.
He made his Norwich debut in the 1-0 Carabao Cup win at Bristol City on 29th August 2023. Long made a total of 12 appearances in his first season as Norwich finished sixth reaching the Championship play-offs.
