Serbian striker Goran
Maric joined Norwich City for their pre-season tour of Scotland
in July 2009, and made his non-compettiive debut for the Canaries
in the 1-0 win over Raith Rovers on 14th July 2009.
Maric was previously
with Barcelona B and has also played for Celta Vigo and Las Palmas.
He also trialled for Crystal Palace during July 2009, scoring
in their 4-0 win at Boreham Wood on 9th July 2009. He's
a striker and we're going to have a look at him in Scotland and
we'll assess him after three games, said Assistant Manage
Ian Butterworth. He's been
with Celta Vigo, Barcelona B, he played for Crystal Palace the
other night, so he's going to join us for Scotland and we're going
to have a look at him.
Maric signed a one
year deal with Norwich on 30th July 2009. We've been
doing lots of thorough medical tests on both Goran and Jens and
we were delighted when we got the news that they had passed those,
said Bryan Gunn.
Goran made his debut
for Norwich, as a substitute, in the 4-0 away win over Yeovil
on 11 August 2009 in the Carling Cup
Paul
Lambert informed Maric that he was free to find a new club
in November 2009
In January 2010 Maric
signed for Spanish side Real Union who play in the Basque city
of Irun.
In the summer of 2010,
Maricc signed for Hungarian side Lombard-Papa
In February 2012, he
moved on to Kazakh football club FC Zhetysu but returned to Lombard-Papa
on 30th August 2012.
He left Lombard-Papa on 1st July 2014. On 12th January 2015, he signed for fellow Hungarian side Dunuaujvaros but was released on 4th March 2015.
