Triallist Graham Mathie played in defence for Norwich's Under
19 side in their 1-1 FA Premier Academy match at Fulham on 23rd
September 2000.
Graham began his career at Kilmarnock where he also won Scottish
international honours, playing at Under-16 through to Under-20
level. After a spell with Coventry, he joined Bournemouth on a
non-contract basis. He spent most of the 2001/02 season with non-leaguers
Salisbury City. He was given a free transfer by Bournemouth in
May 2002.
Surprisingly he signed for Terry Butcher's Motherwell of the
Scottish Premier League on a one year contract at the end of August
2002. He suffered injuries problems that ruled him out of most
of the 2002/03 season. In the following campaign, he was loaned
out to East Fife for whom he made 16 appearances. When he was
released by Motherwell in the summer of 2004, he initially joined
American side Cascae Surge before returning to Scotland to join
East Fife on trial. Signing permanently, he became a regular in
their defence. Graham moved on to Ayr United in January 2005.
In February 2006, Graham joined amateurs Glenafton Athletic,
making his debut in the West of Scotland Cup 3rd Round 1-0 victory
over Renfrew at Loch Park on 25th February 2006.
