Congolese international forward Dieumerci Mbokani joined Norwich
on 31st August 2015 on a season long loan from Dynamo Kiev.
Born in Kinshasa, he began his career at local club Bel'Or and
was top scorer in the 2004 season with 16 goals. He moved to TP
Mazembe. He was loaned to Anderlecht in 2006/07 and scored four
goals in nine appearances. In 2007, he joined Standard Liège
and scored 35 goals in 81 league appearances. He won the Belgian
League title twice and the supercup once.
On 30th June 2010, he signed a deal with French side Monaco.
In August 2011, he joined Anderlecht but was injured in an early
training session and then lost his five month old son to a cardiac
arrest. He did go on to make 53 appearances, scoring 34 goals.
He won the Belgian title twice and the Belgian supercup twice.
on 21st June 2013, he joined Dynamo Kiev. At the time of his
loan to Norwich, he had scored 16 goals in 33 appearances for
Kiev. This included the Ukrainian Premier League title and Ukrainian
Cup (twice).
At the time of his transfer to Norwich, he had played 30 times
for DR Congo.
Mbokani made his Norwich debut coming on as a late substitute
in the 3-1 win over Bournemouth on 12th September 2015. He scored
his first goal for City in the 2-1 home defeat to Leicester on
3rd October 2015.
Mbokani made 29 appearances for City in 2015/16, scoring five goals, as the Canaries were relegated from the Premier League.
On 18th Augiust 2016, Alex Neil revealed that he was interested in re-signing Mbokani for Norwich. He was also linked with a move to Turkey but instead returned to the Premier League joining Hull on a season-long loan on 31st August 2016.
Mbokani didn't play when Hull lost 4-0 to Crystal Palace on 14th May 2017 and were relegated from the Premier League. He made a toal of 17 appearances for the Tigers without scoring.
On 28th August 2018 he moved to Belgium top flight side Royal Antwerp, making his debut in a 2-0 defeat to St Truiden on 22nd September but scoring on his home debut against Gent the following week.
He finished the 2019/20 season as the joint leading scorer in the Belgium first division; his 18 goals for Royal Antwerp equalled only by Jonathan David of Gent. Across all competitions Mbokani scored 24 goals as Antwerp finished fourth in the league and won the Belgian Cup. They also reached the Play-Off Round of the Europa League. Mbokani came second in the Belgian Golden Shoe award for the best player in the top flight; an award he had won in 2012. He also won the Ebony Shoe for the best African player in the Belgian leagues.
After scoring 52 goals in 106 games for Antwerp, he moved to Kuwait SC on 14th July 2021 linking with former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel who joined the club earlier that month. After winning the Kuwaiti Premier League title in his first season, he was released in July 2022.
On 26th September 2022 he signed for Belgian second division side SK Beveren. He made 23 league appearances, scoring 14 goals.
On 14th August 2023 he signed for Armenian side FC Noah, who were previously known as FC Artsakh. He left FC Noah on 1st March 2024, having played 10 games and scoring twice.
