17 year old Glenn McCourt joined Norwich City on 31st July 2025 from Irish side Derry City for whom he made his senior debut in September 2024 against Drogheda United.
The 17-year-old, whose uncle is former Celtic winger Paddy, arrives at Carrow Road after the Canaries beat off strong competition for his signature, agreeing a three-year deal in Norfolk with a club option to extend by a further 12 months. He'll initially join up with City's under-21 development squad.
He has played for Northern Ireland at Under-17 level.
Glenn said: "I'm buzzing to be here. I'm glad that the deal is done and everything is done and dusted and I can't wait to get going now. As a player, I love dribbling and I love getting on the ball, getting at players. Playing out wide, that's me. I made my debut for Derry last year against Drogheda. It was a surreal experience, it's my hometown team and it was a dream to make my debut. I want to play as many minutes as possible. I want to fit in well, it's obviously going to be hard moving away from home. This season, I want to play as much as I can and try my best."
