Glasgow Celtic midfielder
Jim McKechnie spent a month on loan at Carrow Road in March 1986
but did not play for the Norwich City first team.
Jim began his career as a schoolboy with Celtic but turned down
a trainee's position when his family planned a move to England due
to his father's work commitments. Jim later played for the Scotland
Youth side and impressed Nottingham Forest manager Brian Clough
who signed him. He later returned to Celtic and made a single first
team appearance. Soon after his loan spell with Norwich, Jim joined
Irish side Derry City with whom he finished his career.
