London born midfielder
David Murray played in Norwich's Academy and Reserve sides from
July 1997 to August 1999. On leaving Norwich, he went with Barrignton
Belgrave to train with Plymouth Argyle. Barrington was offered
a contract but David wasn't although he was asked back for pre-season
training. He then went to Hereford United where former Aston Villa
manager Graham Turner was in charge and offered Murray a one year
professional contract. However David rejected this due to Hereford's
style of play. He then spent time with Barnet. but culd not be
taken on due to adminstrative purposes. David informs me that
he was also intended to have a trial with preston but could not
arrange a suitable time.
David ended up playing
for Romford from 2000 til 2001 but had to retire due to a recurring
knee injury that he had suffered whilst with Norwich and which
led to two knee operations.
