Norwich City's Oli Newman played the majority of Wales' Under-15's games in the Vlatko Markovic tournament in Croatia in May 2023, including the fifth place play-off against Slovakia which Wales won. He also played against South Korea, Croatia and Finland.

In August 2023 the 15 year old attacking midfielder played for England's Under-16s against Italy. He had been called up to a training camp in October 2022 but was injured.

Newman played in the youth ranks of Burwell Swallows, Exning and Newmarket Town before linking up with Norwich. He attend Bottisham Village College

In the summer of 2024 he attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs and finally switched to Southampton on 14th August 2024.
