Steven Norris was in
the same schoolboy team as Declan Rudd
in the late 1990s, playing for Norwich's Under-8s and Under-9s.
He moved to Ipswich for whom he played in their Under-10s. He
later played fpr Norfolk Schools at Under-14, Under-1 and Under-16
level and attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsa.
He signed a two year scholarship with Kings Lynn. Steven spent
some of the 2007/8 season on loan to Swaffham Town.
In January 2009, he
was selected for the England Schoolboys squad. The England squad
will travel to the training camp in Villarreal, Spain and tour
in mid-February before taking part in the Under 18 Centenary Shield
against Wales at Boston United on Wednesday, March 5th 2009. England
then go on to play Northern Ireland (Macclesfield, March 27),
Scotland (St Mirren, April 17) and Republic of Ireland (Kilkenny
City, April 24). Steven was awarded the No.1 Shirt by the Chairman
of the ESFA in February at Lilleshall. He will be first choice
keeper until the end of the season and his reserve for the squad
is No.17 Tom Pass who is on the 1st team books of Blue Square
Premier side, Forest Green Rovers
He moved to Corby in June 2009.
