Biography

Norwich signed 25 year old Belgian international midfielder Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe from Belgian top tier side Club Brugge on 29th August 2014. Vadis signed a three year contract with an option for a further 12 months. He was City's seventh signing of the summer.

Born in Ghent, Belgium, Vadis has played at every level for the Belgian national team, including the Olympic team at the 2008 Olympic Games in China, and had five caps for the senior side at the time of signing.

Vadis joined his local team K.A.A. Gent at the age of five and then played for the youth team of Anderlecht. Odjidja-Ofoe was part of the 2006–07 Anderlecht reserves team that won the reserves championship. In the 2007–08 season, he was promoted to the Anderlecht first team and on 22nd December 2007, Vadis scored his first goal on his full debut against Mons.

In January 2008, he was signed by German side Hamburg. He made 14 appearances for them before returning to Belgium and signing for Club Brugge on 9th January 2009.

He played 30 times in 2013/14 for Club Brugge.

Vadis made his Norwich debut as substitute in the 3-1 win over Brentford on 16th September 2014. Injuries limited him to just six appearances in 2014/15.

On 1st September 2015, Vadis was loaned to Rotherham for a month to gain match fitness. He made four appearances for Rotherham, scoring once against Cardiff, before returning to Norwich.

Vadis made 12 appearances for City in 2015/16 as the Canaries were relegated from the Premier League.

On 5th August 2016, Vadis joined Polish side Legia Warsaw for an undisclosed fee. They had a successful season winning the Polish title scoring five goals in 38 games in domestic and European football. Last season he also scored a superb goal against Real Madrid in the Champions League, earning him Uefa’s goal of the week award.

This made him hot property and he moved to Greek champions Olympiakos on 9th July 2017  for a reported fee of 2.5million euros. However he failed to settle in Greece and made just 18 appearances.

On 22 July 2018, Vadis returned to his hometown to sign for Gent in a deal worth 2.2million Euros.

He left Gent on 5th June 2023 having made 183 appearances in five years. He then signed for Croatian side Hadjuk Split on 11th July 2023.
