Daniel Ogwuru signed for Norwich City on 1st September 2023 from Manchester City. The 18-year-old forward signed a long-term deal at Carrow Road, and will initially be part of the club's academy sides.
Ogwuru began his footballing journey with Bolton Wanderers, before joining Man City at the age of 14. He progressed through the age groups with City, and played a part of the Under-18 Premier League winning side in 2021/22. The forward then moved into the Under-21s, and has featured in the UEFA Youth League and Premier League 2.
In March 2025 he joined National League North side Buxton on a youth loan.
On 13th May 2025 Norwich announced that Ogwuru would be leaving the club at the end of the 2024/25 season.
On 22nd August 2025 Daniel signed for National League side Morecambe. Morecambe had almost gone out of business earlier that summer and had lost most of their squad. First Team Manager, Ashvir added: “Daniel is a really exciting young player and we're really pleased to have him here at Morecambe. He's a striker who suits exactly the way we want to play. Daniel has been at two very good category one academies in Manchester City and Norwich. We know that he will be someone that is hungry to develop, learn and improve as a football player and contribute to the main goal of helping this team do as well as we can this season." He scored the winner on his debut on 23rd August 2025 as Morecambe beat Altrincham 2-1.
