Brentford's young midfielder Seth Owens trialled with Norwich in April 2016, playing in Under-18s matches versus Manchester United on 22nd April 2016 and Derby on 30th April 2016. The previous month he trialled with Ipswich. He has also had a loan spell at Hayes and Yeading (December 2015 to January 2016).
Owens moved to AFC Wimbledon's development squad during the 2016/17 pre-season, signing a professional contract on 16th August 2016. He made his first team debut in the English Football League Trophy against Newport on 8th November 2016, and his league debut against Bury on 13th November.
Early in the 2017–18 season, Owens joined National League South club Whitehawk on loan. After sustaining a knee injury, he was released by Wimbledon in August 2018. He then joined non-leaguers Maldon & Tiptree, Staines Town and Farnborough (in December 2018).
