Spanish Under-21 international
striker Dani Pacheco joined Norwich City on loan from Liverpool
on 24th March 2011, along with Sam Vokes
from Wolves, to aid Norwich's quest for promotion to the Premiership.
Originally with Malaga,
Dani signed for Barcelona in 2003 where his performances earned
him the nickname El Asesino (The Assassin). He joined Liverpool
in the summer of 2007. After playing primarily for the Reserves,
he made his first team debut on 9th December 2009, as a second
half substitute for Alberto Aquilani in a UEFA Champions League
match against Fiorentina. His league debut came just over two
weeks later on Boxing Day when he replaced Aquilani once more
in a 20 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Capped at Under-16,
Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level by Spain, he was the leading
goalscorer in the UEFA European Under-19 Championships in 2009
scoring four goals inclduing one in the Final which was lost to
France. At the time of his loan to Norwich, he was on international
duty with Spain's Under-21s.
He made his debut in
the 6-0 drubbing of Scunthorpe on 2nd April 2011. His first goal
for Norwich came in the 5-1 win over Ipswich on 21st April 2011
at Portman Road. The season ended with Norwich promoted to the
Premiership on 2nd May 2011. He made 6 appearances for City, scoring
twice
On 24th August 2011,
Dani signed for Spanish side Athletico Madrid on a season long
loan and then was immediatley loaned to Rayo Vallecano. Athletico
have preferred for him to play elsewhere to see if he develops
further and then, perhaps, buy him off Liverpool next year at
a price agreed now. This did not take place and Dani returned
to Liverpool albeit without playing further for the Reds' first
team.
On 31st January 2013, Dani was loaned to Spanish second division
side Huesca.
On 23rd May 2013, Liverpool announced that they would not be
renewing Dani's contract when it expires at the end of June 2013.
Pacheco moved to his native Spain to join Second Division side
Alcorcon on 2nd September 2013.
Pacheco joined Real Betis on 11th July 2014.
After playing 23 matches and helping them win promotion to La
Liga, he was loaned out to Deportivo Alaves in the Segunda Division
on 28th July 2015.
On 23rd July 2016, he was loaned out again, this time to Getafe. he helped them win promotion and signed permanently for them. He made 11 appearances in La Liga.
On 15th August 2018 he was bought by second tier side Malaga.
Pacheco was one of eight first team players released by Málaga on 3 October 2020
On 1st February 2021 he signed a short term contract with Spanish second division side UD Logrones. He was released in June 2021. He signed for Cypriot side Aris Limassol on 25th August 2021 where he stayed until the end of January 2022. He then signed for Polish side Gornik Zebrze on 10th March 2022.
Pacheco left the club at the end of his contract in June 2024. On 16 July 2024, Pacheco moved to Polish second-tier club Wisła Płock on a one-year deal, with a one-year extension option.
